Treasure Hunt - Work From Farm Week
Probably you have heard people say that a hidden prize has very little to do with luck and everything to do with how well a team thinks together when the answer is not obvious, and the pressure is real.
But beyond this, something more significant may occur.
You may experience in your instincts what it actually feels like to find something together.
To navigate difficulty as a unit and emerge from it transformed.
We just had to be willing to go in and in...
The Treasure Hunt Game
Now, a golden prize had been hidden somewhere on the farm.
Every section of it, from the thick bush, the open fields, the rocky slopes, the construction corridors, all of it was fair ground.
Right?
But all I knew that day was that we were worried about how long the treasure search would take...
Yes, you may think it's something you can find just within a short distance.
I bet you, you're wrong.
First, if it required only an individual search, it may require you almost 12 hours to find.
Yes, it will... I'm not even exaggerating...
Take a look at the picture below..

You can see that after the moment that the hunt began.
Some staff pushed immediately into the dense bush, bending low under branches, pressing through undergrowth, and scanning the ground in search of the golden prize.
In this setting, the talk-and-walk is necessary especially as a group.
You can see that some staff are wandering the same ground with duplicate efforts while leaving other sections completely unchecked.

And I know you wouldn't like to be in a situation...
Right?
That's why if you have information and it doesn't travel, such information doesn't exist.
Take, for instance, you can see a section was cleared by one team but since the other team does not know about it, it would get searched twice.

Plus, a promising area that one person noticed but did not communicate gets forgotten easily.
But when the communication worked, you could feel it in the efficiency of the search.
That's why you can see that some sections were eliminated cleanly...
Some teams moved with shared purpose.
At this moment, what you are seeing is people who have stopped thinking about the individual accolades and started to think about the problem collectively as a group.
For me, that is the single most important transition a winning team can make.
The Golden Prize Was Found
We didn’t realize they had found it until it was already over.
Most of us didn't know that one team had stopped moving the way the rest of us were, nobody knew we’d missed something obvious.
At this time, they weren’t searching anymore.
At first, we ignored it.
Everyone had been “sure” at some point during the hunt.
We thought it was going to be the same scene that would play out.
But this felt different...
They gathered around one spot.
One of them crouched down, brushed past the surface like she already knew what was there.
And then she pulled it out. Just like that?
Everyone started to hear, We actually found it.

That was when it hit everyone else.
People started walking over.
You could see it on their faces, we had all been close, or at least we thought we were.
Now, the riddle had been solved, the treasure found.
And the hunt, just like that, was done...
We say Congratulations to the winning team...
